The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) President's Awards honour IOF members from different regions of the world who have made a significant and unstinting contribution to the advancement of the work of the IOF, through furthering one or more of the mission statements and/or goals of the Foundation. Recipients are selected by the IOF President, with the approval of the IOF Executive Committee.
2) IOF Medal of Achievement
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Medal of Achievement honours individual researchers who have significantly advanced the field of osteoporosis through their original and outstanding scientific contributions. The award underlines important aspects of IOF's mission - to increase understanding and awareness of osteoporosis and to promote medical innovation. The IOF Medal of Achievement, which includes CHF 1500 in prize money, is presented every year during the WCO-IOF-ESCEO congress. Candidates are nominated by members of IOF's Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA) and the winner selected by the Chair of the CSA with the approval of the IOF Executive Committee.
3) IOF Olof Johnell Science Award
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Olof Johnell Science Award, named in honour of the late Professor Olof Johnell is awarded every year during the WCO-IOF-ESCEO congress. The Award honours an individual who has contributed to the field of osteoporosis in a scientific or policy implementation area, worldwide. The award winner also receives CHF 1500 in prize money. The candidates will be nominated by IOF members and the winner chosen by the IOF Board.
4) IOF Committee of National Societies Award
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Committee of National Societies Medal honours an individual who has made an important contribution to IOFs Committee of National Societies (CNS) through active participation in CNS activities and by expanding IOF's message and outreach in his/her country. An IOF Committee selects the winner, with the approval of the IOF Executive Committee.
5) ESCEO-MSD Fellowships
The ESCEO-MSD Fellowships, supported by a grant from MSD, are given to young investigators for their future contributions in the field of bone and mineral research.
The 2 fellowships of 12.500 USD each will be distributed at the WCO-IOF-ESCEO Annual Meeting.
Award Recipients must:
Be the first or presenting author of the abstract
Prove less than 15 years since the completion of the highest degree
The above eligibility criteria include students or trainees who have not yet obtained their doctoral degree.
These fellowships would be selected based on submission of the proposed research to be conducted.

6) ESCEO-Eli Lilly Scholarships
The value of these scholarships will be:
Free registration to the meeting
1.000 USD if the applicant did not submit any abstract to the WCO16 Congress
1.500 USD if the applicant (only first author) submitted an abstract to the WCO16 Congress
Free registration (value 995 euros) will be granted to applicants ranked between 100 and 300.
